Mabway specialises in offering engineering training support solutions. We often work with clients on ships where equipment has been regularly updated or where additional equipment has been fitted. It is often the case that the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) documentation does not provide sufficient detail regarding preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, fault location or removal & replacement routines. These issues will often require a training uplift to skill staff, or make adjustment to training programmes to allow for effective ship operation and maintenance support.
Mabway will proactively work to undertake operational research and training gap analysis to identify these training needs and requirements. Mabway staff are highly experienced in the delivery of academic and practical courses; from a short course of modules through to a complete training pipeline of courses. We can deliver training in house as an EAL qualified training provider, but are also adept at working with OEMs and industry partners to skill staff appropriately. We are repeatedly selected by our customers for our depth of knowledge, flexibility, innovative training programmes and cost-effective solutions.
What we can do for you
Early consideration of upkeep issues for new equipment fit or modifications to marine engineering systems can often identify requirements for additional training support, special tools, problems of access (due to interference from existing ships fittings), spare part holdings, or evaluation of removal or replacement procedures.
The Mabway maritime team comprises specialist engineers dedicated to carrying out a complete maintenance evaluation of ship equipment. All OEM documentation, including preventive and corrective maintenance procedures are assessed to ensure accuracy, ergonomic achievability, and completeness. We will work to create a bespoke report detailing all maintenance procedures, hazards and safety considerations, setting to work, special tools, spares support and removal or replacement procedures.
